1. What is Meet Halfway?

Meet Halfway is a web tool that calculates the geographic midpoint between any two U.S. cities and suggests restaurants, hotels, and attractions in the area. Whether you’re planning a coffee catch-up, a business lunch, or a weekend road trip, Meet Halfway helps you find the perfect meeting spot!

2. How do I use it?

Enter your city and state in the “Where are you coming from?” field.
Enter your friend’s (or colleague’s) city and state in the second field.
Click “Meet Halfway.”
View the map, midpoint address, and curated lists of nearby restaurants, hotels, and attractions.

3. What data powers the results?

Our service uses the Google Maps Geocoding API to find latitude/longitude coordinates, the Directions API to calculate distances and travel times, and the Places API to discover nearby points of interest. All results are based on real-time data from Google.

4. Can I read or leave reviews?

Yes! On each Results page, you can submit your own review of any recommended spot. Reviews are displayed publicly (name or pseudonym optional). We plan to expand this feature soon with sorting and filtering by rating.

5. Will there be ads on Meet Halfway?

To keep Meet Halfway free, we display unobtrusive Google AdSense ads alongside our content. Ads appear only on pages with substantive information—never on empty or “under construction” pages.
